Shipping policy

Due to quarantine rules our seeds and tubers cannot be shipped to Tasmania, Western Australia, the Northern Territory or internationally. Please note any orders placed that use international freight forwarding services - you will be sent an empty box and NO REFUND provided. It is illegal for my business to export dahlias overseas. You have been warned.

Seeds

Seeds will be packed and shipped in late July / August in time for customers to start seeds for the 2026 / 2027 dahlia season. No local pickup for seed sales is offered. 

Shipping Rates

Our shipping rates are defined by Auspost based on weight, the parcel destination, and include our handling fee. Should Auspost not recognise your address during checkout our backup shipping rates are as follows:

Orders under 1.2kg = $25
Orders over 1.2kg = $50

Please be aware that orders that result in shipping over $50 may incur further shipping charges.

Plant Concierge Services

Please be advised that if you are in TAS / WA or NT and use a plant concierge service to have your tubers shipped to you - your order is considered a final sale and no refunds / exchanges or replacements will be provided. Queen Vic Dahlias is not responsible for tubers shipped via a 3rd party, and no correspondence for issues arising due to plant concierge services will be entered into. 
Should you require extra paperwork for plant concierge orders, my admin fee is $5 a page which you will be billed prior to your order being shipped.

Dahlia Tubers

Tubers are shipped from September - November and may be shipped with dormant eyes. Orders being sent to TPP quarantine states will have their orders packed and posted prior to all other orders to minimise costs associated with adhering to quarantine protocols.  Tubers will be shipped as quickly as possible after packing.

Due to the number of orders we receive -  please note local pickup is not offered for dahlia tubers due to the extra administration this would incur. Thank you for your understanding.

Combined Orders

We are unable to offer combined orders in 2026. Thank you for your understanding.

Local Pickup

Local pickup is offered only for fresh cut flowers during our pickup times noted on each fresh cut flower listing. You can find our business hours on our contact page.

Delivery

 We do not offer a delivery service for fresh cut flowers.
